NaturesGoodGuys offers Praying Mantis Egg Cases, which are perfect for Organic Gardens or Bug-Friendly environments. Praying Mantises serve as versatile allies in gardens, greenhouses, or as pets, voraciously consuming a wide range of insects. These skilled hunters, with their distinctive appearance, ambush prey under natural camouflage. Female mantises lay 50-200 eggs in protective cases during late summer or fall, which hatch after 2-12 weeks of consistent temperatures above 70°F. Young nymphs emerge, seeking prey as they grow into adults with fully formed wings, living several months to a year depending on conditions.

PRO TIPS
  • Keep your mantis eggs at 70°F+ to encourage hatching.

  • Can take up to 12 weeks to hatch.

  • They do not eat ladybugs, so they can peacefully coexist in your garden ecosystem.

INTRODUCTION RATES
1 egg case per 1,500 square feet.
2 egg cases per 3,000 square feet.

Temperature Range: 40-104° F.
Hatching can take up to 6 weeks at 70°F.

It's important to note that these introduction rates serve as general guidelines and can differ depending on the specific pest species, the plant being treated, and level of infestation. Proper monitoring of the infestation and the released beneficial insect population is crucial for determining the success of the biological control strategy.

  4. Introduce directly on plants, under cover to protect from predators.
OUTDOOR HATCHING
